Not really a surprise. Managers have a ‘specialism’ or key area where they operate best. Some are great national team coaches but fail at club level. Some are best operating in lower leagues while others might only be effective with top clubs. Its horses for courses. Big Sam’s specialism these days is as a fire fighter
